Castle Street townhouse
This Grade II listed home opposite a castle was given a garden extension, loft conversion and complete refurbishment. The clients were keen to reduce their carbon emissions, adding an air source heat pump and solar panels on a garden building. The ground floor has underfloor heating. We have also secured approvals for a barn conversion within the grounds.

Award-winning extension
We were asked to design a modern extension to provide a new kitchen and carry out repairs and alterations to this beautiful Grade II listed farmhouse. The work included the conversion of an historic cob barn to a self-contained annexe. The project won an LABC award.

Dartmoor farmhouse
This medieval Grade II* listed Dartmoor longhouse was restored from complete dereliction, using local natural materials, mostly sourced on site: stone, timber, cob, clay plaster and home-grown organic thatching wheat. Working closely with Historic England and the Dartmoor National Park Authority helped bring about a series of satisfactory Listed Building Consents.

Farmhouse restoration
This Grade II* listed medieval farmhouse had suffered from numerous mid-twentieth century ‘improvements’ and needed some care to reveal its true beauty. It was cold, dark and damp, but with masterful conservation and tasteful client interior design it became light, warm, comfortable and stylish.
